A LANE GUEST RANCH VACATION

Lane Guest Ranch is located high in the mountains just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park with spectacular mountains, streams, and lakes, where you can ride horseback or hike for miles.  Our small resort accommodates about 60 guests with a staff of 55 to serve you over 16 hours each day.  You will enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool evenings with just enough rain to keep the flowers blooming and the landscape green.  Our weekly activities include exciting whitewater rafting (extra), overnight pack trips, trout fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing trips, photography hikes with professional instruction, and horseback riding with instruction. You can snooze in a chaise lounge in the sunshine by our pool, go horseback riding, browse in our library, have good conversations over drinks on our patio or at our bar, view videos in your room or enjoy four nights of live entertainment in our lodge, or enjoy singing around our campfire.  Golf and tennis are available in nearby Estes Park.  Our guided hikes range from an easy stroll to a challenging adventure, or you can choose to just relax in a hot tub, or really relax with a massage from our masseuse (extra, but well worth it). You can relax or be as active as you wish. Our Package Plan includes accommodations, all meals, childcare for infants and up, and all planned activities.

   Lloyd Lane started Lane Guest Ranch in 1953 while a student at the University of Colorado. With a staff of five, he could only accommodate a few guests.  He has been the sole owner and manager of the resort for the past 50 years.  During the years, his ranch has grown to accommodate 70 guests and a staff of over 55 people.  With no stockholders or partners, Lloyd Lane has been able to use his profits for salaries, food, entertainment, and physical improvements.  The ranch is located on 30 acres next to Roosevelt National Forest and Rocky Mountain National Park at an altitude of 8,500 feet.  The success of the ranch is apparent by the large number of returning guests.  Guests arrive from all areas of the United States, some from Europe and a few from Asia.  Most of our new guests learn of our ranch from friends who have visited us, through advertisements in the Wall Street journal, and from our web site, www.laneguestranch.com.
